Fulton's Sugar Bush
On Wednesday Evelyn and I ventured out to Fulton's Pancake House and Sugar Bush in Pakenham with some friends. There we did one of the hiking trails, ate breakfast, and bought out part of the maple shop. The 1.5K trail was quite the adventure what with the strollers, the snow melting/sinking, and plastic tubing for the sirup taps occasionally blocking the path. My main gripe with the place: no bacon. A breakfast place without bacon is problematic. Evelyn enjoyed her first pancake, though!
Basement baby digs
An attempt to carve out a basement play area for Evelyn was made. Though she seemed to prefer to explore everywhere but that area...
I guess eventually we'll invest in trains and tracks once again |
Evelyn's nine month doctor appointment
On Thursday Evelyn had a doctor appointment. There was no vaccine required this visit, yay! Evelyn now weighs 20lbs and measures 75cm. She has a bump on the inside of her left hand that we were told not to worry about but she's being referred to a specialist for it. The appointment likely won't be before her first birthday.
Miscellaneous
Caleb spent a considerable amount of time building an eyeball gun.
Evelyn and I have been enjoying outdoor strolls now that the weather is warming up.
We're all nursing colds.
Liana met with new babysitting clients today. It was a referral from a family she's been sitting for for a year and a half now and the meet and greet went well.
I drove my parents to the airport this morning and they're off to Portugal for most of April.
